It’s surprising to me how many people still don’t know about all the help available to seniors in the Okanagan. Perhaps it’s because many seniors do not have a computer or have not yet embraced using it for more than playing mahjong! Well look no further. North Okanagan
NexusBC Community Resource Centre, Vernon BC
They assist seniors 60+ with help with filling out forms. They also do income tax for low income seniors and have a housing guide. They also serve Lumby, Cherryville, Vernon and Armstrong with the North Okanagan Better At Home Program.
Whitevalley Community Resource Centre, Lumby BC
Offering a variety of seniors services and programs in Lumby, Cherryville & area including a drop-in program, support and information.
Central Okanagan
Seniors Outreach Services Society, Kelowna BC
Some of the programs and services offered include the Central Okanagan Better At Home Program, computer mentoring, housing options, income tax preparation and more.
South Okanagan
Desert Sun Counselling and Resource Centre, Osoyoos BC
Providing counselling, computer tutoring, and the South Okanagan Better At Home Program for Osoyoos and Oliver.
OneSky Community Resources, Penticton BC
OneSky Community Resources, in partnership with the South Okanagan Seniors Wellness Society , helps seniors with practical day to day tasks that support independence (Better At Home Program), provides information and referral resources and opportunities to build friendships and connections to community.
